Don’t buy “Tatti” phones, Nokia Pakistan’s Twitter Blunder

Posted: 26 Dec 2013 12:39 AM PST

Don’t buy Tatti (#shit) phones, those were the exact words Nokia Pakistan tweeted with a disgusting image via its official twitter account. The tweet says that every other smartphones brand namely HTC, Sony, Apple & Samsung are making shit phones. To add insult to injury @htc,@samsungMobile and Apple’s ceo @tim_cook were also mentioned in this tweet. HSN was quick enough to get snapshots of the tweet. We have hidden some parts of the image, so you won’t puke.

shit
Some hours later, Nokia Pakistan deleted the tweet and apologized for the incident claiming their account was hacked and now they have taken back the control. Interestingly Nokia Pakistan is one of the very first Pakistani account on twitter to get a verified account and handled by a reputable digital media agency. So we assume that the hacker must have been very good or may be its an “inside job”?

twitter

This isn’t the first time a Pakistani technology related company committed a blunder. In the past Samsung Pakistan and Mobilink have made many stupid mistakes, but this one is the next level #shit.

We can’t be sure that really their account was hacked or it was just a publicity stunt gone bad, as “hacker” didn’t tweeted any thing else and Nokia is infamous for mocking its competitors in TV ads and Internet campaigns.

What do you think? do leave your opinion in the comments section below.
