Nokia rumored to Unveil an 8-inch Windows RT Tablet Next Year Posted: 29 Nov 2013 06:05 AM PST Last month Nokia introduced its first, much anticipated 10.1-inch Windows RT Tablet Lumia 2025. According to Digitimes, Nokia is going to launch an 8-inch version of Windows RT 8.1 tablet along with two new phablets to join Lumia 1520. There’s not much information available about the new 8-inch tablet by Nokia, just like predecessor this tablet will target the high to mid-range market. The new tablet code name Illusionists will be launched by the name of Lumia 2020, and believe me it has nothing to do with cricket game, its just a numbering system which Nokia allocates to its devices according to their screen sizes. Lumia 2020 will reportedly feature a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal memory with an option to expand storage. The tablet will come out in the first quarter of 2014. State Minister for IT announces to lay Optic fiber to all UC’s across Pakistan Posted: 29 Nov 2013 05:35 AM PST Universal service Fund Company (USFCo)-Ministry of Information Technology has initiated the project which aims to spread the telecom facilities throughout the country with the basic objective of ICT's to create equal opportunities and openness for all, irrespective of their location. So far more than 4,250 Kms of optic fiber cable has been laid to connect the un-served tehsil's and towns. With these achievements, USFCo and Ministry of IT has created a success story for the public-private partnership entities nationally and internationally. Minister of State for IT; Ms. Anusha Rahman Khan paid a surprise visit to the Fiber Optic Route of Chirah-Lehtrar-Kotli Sattian yesterday. Ms. Khan during her visit to the site was accompanied by the secretary MoITT and the Senior Management of USFCo. The Senior Management of USFCo thanked Ms. Rahman Khan for her never ending support and the effort that the Ministry has made in timely releasing the USFCo Fund. "The Ministry of IT Telecom and USFCo stands committed to the envisioned goal of spreading innovative yet affordable ICT and telecom solutions to the masses across the country and this project has particularly played an important role in facilitation of ICT services and has generated socio-economic benefits for the locals of this area." said the State Minister for IT; Ms.Anusha Rahman Khan. She further stated, "An Optic Fiber Cable of about 40 Kms has been laid and has proved to be an asset for a population of about 101,000 people and further initiatives will be taken in future by the Ministry of IT to spread Optic Fiber across all the Union Council's of Pakistan to connect the entire nation".
