Mobilink has introduced SMS alerts for its international roaming (IR) customers as a means to enhance Mobilink customers' experience worldwide. The service will provide Mobilink IR customers with their Data usage details every four hours keeping them aware of their usage and managing their budget accordingly.

The SMS Alert service empowers frequent users of international roaming data services by giving them the option to monitor their IR Data usage via text alerts. Users can choose to temporarily unsubscribe Data services from their handset to avoid bills beyond their budget. The SMS Alert service is pre-activated for all existing & new international roaming subscribers. The service is provided free of charge in all countries where Mobilink offers International Roaming services.

Visa Offers Cardholders in Pakistan to Experience 2014 FIFA World Cup

As part of its sponsorship of the 2014 FIFA World Cup BrazilTM Visa Inc., one of the world's largest retail electronic payments networks, has launched a promotionto send one valued cardholder in Pakistan to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ final match, hosted at the Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday 13 July 2014.

visaThe 2014 FIFA World Cup BrazilTM, which is scheduled to take place in June and July this year, is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year which will see 32 teams from all around the globe competing for the most prestigious prize in the sport. Brazil will become the centre of attention for the world and Visa has extended an opportunity for Pakistani football fans to be part of the glamorous show.

Visa cardholders who spend between January 1, 2014 and February 28, 2014 using their credit card, debit card, gift or prepaid card, will earn an entry into the draw for every transaction performed – the higher the number of transactions, the greater the chance of winning. There will be no minimum value to be spent and cardholders will get an additional chance every time they use their Visa card.

The winner of the draw will be awarded an all expense paid trip for two to Brazil to watch the final of the World Cup. Ufone & British Council Partner to Provide a Scholarship Programme

Ufone, an Etisalat Group company, has partnered with British Council for a scholarship programme with prizes worth Rs.5 Million; Rs.1 million eachwill be given to five lucky winners. Any student who has taken the IELTS through British Council and aims to take admission in a university is eligible for participation. All they need to do is to SMS their registration code through their Ufone number to 3242 and will be given a quiz.

unnamedThe quiz will comprise 10 questions and the top 10 scorers will be given topics which they will work on and then present to British Council. One winner will receive Rs.1 million for each cycle and this process will repeat five times for different test dates
