Oppo unveils Find 7 – World’s first 5.5 QHD display smartphone Posted: 19 Mar 2014 01:22 AM PDT Chinese smartphones manufacturer Oppo has finally unveiled its much awaited smartphone “Find 7″ at a press event in Beijing. It is the first smartphone to offer QHD display (2560×1440) and 538ppi pixel density.
Find 7 is packed with a 13-megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash, it is capable of recording 4k video and 720p slow-motion vides. Oppo has introduced a new feature called Super Zoom, which takes 10 photos at a time and then merge them into a single 50-megapixel image. It also features a primary 5-megapixel camera for beautiful selfies. This new device has two different versions, one is powered by 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC chipset (Same like Galaxy S5), Adreno 3360 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. The second version has lower specs, packed with 2.3GHz qua-core Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. Both versions support micro-SD cards upto 128GB. Find 7 is equipped with MaxxAudio, an award winning sound technology. You can fine tune the sound as per your requirement and its very good with the bass. Oppo Find 7 packs a 3000mAh battery, while the lower-end version has a 2800mAh battery. Oppo has integrated a rapid charge technology dubbed VOOC, which is capable of charging the battery to 75% in 30 minutes.

Motorola announces Moto 360, powered by Android Wear Posted: 18 Mar 2014 10:37 PM PDT Motorola will be amongt the first ones to make use of Google’s new invention with Android. It has officially announced the Moto 360 which follows the smartwatch and is powered by Android Wear. Moto 360 by Motorola will feature a plain round faced design and according to the makers, the new smartwatch gets its exclusive look from the premium quality materials used in the production process. The device, which runs Google's wearable software, will go on sale this summer, starting with the U.S., Motorola said in a blog post.

PTCL Holds Squash Tournament For Employees Posted: 18 Mar 2014 10:13 PM PDT PTCL held a Squash tournament for its employees at company's officers Club in Islamabad. The 7 day tournament saw a large number of employees competing in categories of Men's Singles, Women's Singles and Veteran's Singles events. In the Men's Singles final, Arslan Aslam emerged as winner by defeating Asim Akhtar, while Uzma Ajmal clinched the women's title by defeating Tasneem Akhtar. The veteran's title went to Amir Hayat while Zia Ur Rehman remained the runner-up. Chief Guests Syed Mazhar Hussain, CHRO PTCL; Muhammad Nasrullah, CBOO PTCL; Tariq Salman CTO, PTCL; Raid Yousaf CIO, PTCL & M.O. Hajj Mahmoud, Senior Advisor Technical presented shields & souvenirs to the participating players. The matches drew large number of spectators comprising of employees as well as their families who appreciated the sportsmanship and level of competition displayed by the players. This new service will allow e-commerce businesses to accept payments online through Visa and other scheme credit and debit cards.

Mobilink Initiates Relief Operations in Tharparker Posted: 18 Mar 2014 09:58 PM PDT Mobilink Foundation has initiated relief operations in Tharparker as a means of providing support to the affectees of famine in the region. Mobilink Foundation will provide more than 8,000 affectees with food supplies which will be transported to Tharparker by Pakistan Navy.
In the first phase of the relief operation, Mobilink Foundation will transport food packages which include water and basic edibles for daily consumption of famine affectees. Mobilink Torchbearers have also established collection centers in Mobilink offices in Sindh to collect donations, clothes and other supplies to support the families in Tharparker. These supplies and donations will be sent to the affected region in the second phase of relief operations. The relief efforts are reflective of Mobilink's continued commitment over the years to be the first to reach out to affectees of natural disasters in Pakistan. In the past, Mobilink Torchbearers have provided monetary as well as relief work assistance to victims of the earthquake in 2005 and the floods in 2010. In 2013, Mobilink Torchbearers were the only employees of a cellular company to personally take food and basic supplies to victims of the Awaran Earthquake.
