Kashmiri Students Expuslion: Pakistani Hackers Take Down Indian University Website Posted: 06 Mar 2014 07:29 PM PST Dozens of Kashmiri students were expelled from their university and threatened with sedition charges because they cheered for the Pakistani cricket team during a televised match against India. In resposne to that, a Group of Pakistani Hackers - namely Pakistan Haxors Crew , online group hacked the official website of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University on Thursday evening. The hackers have left a message on the website: "Feel the power of Haxors Crew." The hacked website, http://svnuniversity.edu.in/bore the logo of the hackers’ group. The text underneath it read, “|#| Security Breach |#|Feel The Power Of Pakistan Haxors Crew. We Are Sleeping But Not Dead.” More text in Urdu detailed a news report about the expulsion from the Meerut University, below which was English text: “Free Kashmir. Free Syria. Stop Spying On US. Stop Killing Muslims.” The move has been triggered by a news item left on the website which reads that Kashmiri students have been expelled from the university for cheering Pakistan's win. IT Minister Promises Level Playing Filed To New Entrants in Telecom Sector Posted: 06 Mar 2014 07:13 PM PST Anusha Rehman, Minister of State for Information Technology Thursday assured the delegation of Turkish Company Turk Cell that the Government and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority would take necessary measures to provide a level playing field to new entrants in Pakistan's telecom sector. The government's resolve to conduct the forthcoming spectrum auction for next generation mobile services in Pakistan in a transparent manner in line with international best practices, the Minister added. This she said during a meeting with the delegation of Turkish Company which visited Ministry of IT. High ranking Ministry official along with Chairman PTA were present during the meeting. The delegation's visit to Pakistan was a follow up to Turk Cell's meeting with the Minister of State on the sidelines of the recently concluded Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain. The representatives of Turk Cell showed keen interest in the forthcoming spectrum auction for next generation mobile services in Pakistan. In this regard, they will study the market dynamics during their stay in the country and make recommendations to their principals in Turkey. Recently, Ministry of IT has added spectrum 850 MHz in its policy directive exclusively for new entrants.
